HIT Lab

Welcome to the HIT Performance Lab

At HIT Athletic, we believe better data leads to better training. The HIT Lab is our in-house performance testing center, equipped with advanced technology designed to measure, analyze, and optimize your fitness journey. Whether you’re an athlete looking to gain a competitive edge or simply want to better understand your body, the HIT Lab gives you the insights to train smarter — not just harder.

Using industry-leading tools like InBody, Kinotek, and ForceDecks, we assess everything from body composition and movement quality to strength, balance, and asymmetries. Each system provides real-time data and personalized feedback, helping you and your coaches make informed decisions, set smarter goals, and track your progress over time.

Ready to get started? Stop by the front desk to schedule your scans.

InBody

Take control of your health.

The InBody 580 analyzes your body composition in just 30 seconds and provides you with comprehensive results that you can use to track your health journey. By monitoring your Result Sheet printout or the InBody App, you’ll be able to note any changes in:

  • Skeletal Muscle Mass
  • Percent Body Fat
  • Segmental Body Water
  • Visceral Fat Area
  • Cellular health (via Segmental Phase Angle)
  • Hydration levels (via the BIVA Graph)
  • And more!

Use the customizable Body Composition History to personalize which outputs are displayedand see how specific outputs, such as Percent Body Fat, change over time. Take an InBody Test every two to four weeks to continuously monitor your progress towards your fitness goals.

InBody scanning technology is designed to accurately measure body composition, including body fat, muscle mass, and water content. It uses a painless, non-invasive electrical current that travels through the body. The current flows freely through body fluids but meets resistance when it encounters fat or bone tissue. Using data from the current, the InBody scanner calculates your body composition.

How to Scan

1. Wipe Down Hands & Feet

Wipe down your hands and feet with an InBody Tissue to increase your conductivity.

2. Step Onto The InBody

Align your feet with the foot electrodes—your weight will be automatically measured.

3. Enter Your Info

Once the InBody confirms your weight, enter your ID, height, and age.

4. Grab The Handles

Place your thumbs on the oval electrodes.

5. Get Into Position

Keep your arms straight and hold the handles away from your body at a 45-degree angle.

6. Maintain Testing Posture

Keep still and maintain the testing posture until the test is completed.

7. Receive Your Results

Your InBody Test results will automatically print out once the test is completed.

Our Performance Lab gives you access to two advanced assessment tools — the InBody 580 for body composition analysis and Kinotek for motion capture and movement health. Each session includes both scans so you get a complete picture of your fitness and movement.

Pricing Options:

  • Initial Scan: $50 – Includes both InBody 580 and Kinotek assessments

  • Follow-Up Scan: $40 each – Track progress and adjust your program over time

  • 6-Scan Package: $150 ($25 per scan) – Perfect for consistent monitoring

  • 12-Scan Package: $250 ($20.80 per scan) – Ideal for long-term tracking and optimization

Kinotek

Moving well and pain-free your entire life is really important.

Kinotek’s goal is to help keep it that way.

Kinotek is a functional movement assessment tool that uses advanced 3D motion capture technology to precisely measure how your body moves. In just seconds, it captures detailed data on joint angles, ranges of motion, and movement patterns. The result is a clear, objective picture of your strengths, weaknesses, and potential risk areas — insights you can’t get from the naked eye alone.

This information gives coaches, trainers, and clinicians the ability to create targeted training and corrective strategies that address imbalances before they become injuries, helping you move better, recover faster, and perform at your best.

ForceDecks

VALD ForceDecks are a dual-force plate system designed to objectively assess strength, power, balance, asymmetry, and neuromuscular control. Using precision load cell sensors, they measure the forces exerted during both dynamic and isometric movements — from jumps to holds — helping identify imbalances and movement strategies with real-time data.

Ideal for performance and clinical settings alike, ForceDecks support baselining, benchmarking, monitoring, and decision-making through intuitive apps and seamless data storage in the VALD Hub.

“If you can measure it, you can improve it”
Lord Kelvin, creator of the Kelvin Scale

ForceDecks use dual force plates with precision sensors to measure how your body produces force during movements like squats, jumps, and isometric holds. These tests provide detailed data on strength, balance, asymmetry, power output, and movement strategy. Results are displayed in real time through the ForceDecks app and stored in the VALD Hub for ongoing tracking and progress monitoring.

  • Step onto the ForceDecks – Stand barefoot or in shoes on the two plates, depending on the test.

  • Follow guided instructions – A coach will walk you through a series of movements or holds, such as a vertical jump, squat, or balance test.

  • Perform the tests – Each movement lasts only a few seconds and is designed to assess specific areas of performance or imbalance.

  • Review your results – Data is instantly available and will be reviewed with you to highlight key findings.

  • Track your progress – All results are saved to your VALD Hub profile to monitor changes and improvements over time.

Force Plates Coming Soon
We’re excited to add ForceDecks technology to our Performance Lab soon! Pricing and package options for force plate assessments will be updated once the equipment is available in the gym. Stay tuned for more details.
